MHTML Converter

A while back one of our customers at my place of work was looking to transfer some files from her PC to a brand new Macintosh computer.  Some of the files in question were *.mht files that were created using Internet Explorer.  Anyone familiar with this file type knows that it’s not too compatible with any other web browsers. In fact, unless you look pretty hard, you wont find anything up-to-date that does support these.

While our software did not have built-in support for converting these file types to more compatible versions, I figured it would be pretty easy to write a little application to take care of the task.  Enter the MHTML Converter.  The MHTML Converter was designed to take a batch of *.mht files and convert them all in to standard html files with any embedded pictures extracted.  Not only will the newly created content look just like it did in Internet Explorer, but it will now work in any web browser.

The MHTML Converter should work on any operating system from Windows 98 to Windows Vista.  If by chance you run into problems running the software, please let me know and I will see what I can do to fix it.
